Hours: M-F, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Position Summary:
The Reimbursement Specialist will work as part of interdisciplinary team in providing the necessary communication and coordination of services that will maintain all interventions necessary to meet the needs of our BioScrip clients.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Medical Billing experience under Commercial Insurance companies, Medicaid, Medicare and other state programs (ADAP programs)
• Extensive skills in problem solving
• Knowledge of Deductible, CAP and OOP terminology and how to calculate patient responsibility
• Knowledge of potential for prior authorization requirement for medically billed injectables and process for obtaining them with physician’s office.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient level of software proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels and customers.
• Ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality along with sensitivity to employees’ and customers’ needs and data.
• Excellent attention to detail.

| Qualifications: |
Qualifications and Experience:
• 2-3 Years experience in Medical Billing (including eligibility verification, patients’ out of pocket responsibility, prior authorization, coding and collections)
• Prior prescription claims experience.
• Prior medical billing experience under Medicare, Medicaid, or other programs
• 2-year or 4-year college degree in a related area is strongly preferred.
