Job: Pharmacy Accts Receivable Representative - Chelsea, NY
    Location: Chelsea, NY
    Description: Position Summary: o This position provides a high level of service to patients, payors and referral sources through consistent and effective communication regarding verification and coordination of benefits and AR matters affecting our patients and providers. Answers customer statement and account questions. Assists store as requested with Reject reports and daily CAM rejects. Assists store as requested with OI billing in PFW. Stays current on daily correspondence, denials and E-Mails. Creates and follows up on financial arrangements with customers and checks on AR balances for all patients as they are called for monthly refill reminders. Performs a vital role in Retention effort for the Pharmacy. Performs insurance verification Maintains customer demographic information and insurance benefits in both PFW and IDX. Maintains product knowledge to be able to interact with customers. Responsible to escalate payor maintenance changes. Consults with corporate A/R Reps regarding complex reimbursement issues. Provides feedback to continually improve processes and results. Assists Corporate A/R Reps with Electronic rebilling, any forms that are needed for billing paper claims to Medicaid programs and drug cards. Maintains current aging (<90 days) to insure proper payment on all billing. If there are any payers that corporate does not or can not call on and the store handles the payer until all money is collection; the Store AR Rep is responsible for the full aging for this payer. Process and completes all required paperwork and reports according to established procedures. Answers telephone calls in a professional and timely manner. Appropriate level of proficiency in using PC software to support business activities, especially Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, Pharmacy dispensing system, IDX, (TR1 and SSP), Isuite, McKesson and Allwin. Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels. Requires sensitivity to employee’s and customer’s needs and data. Performs responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism. Establishes and maintains positive and productive work relationship with all staff and customers. Demonstrates the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities. Takes personal initiative for technical and professional development. Follows the company HR policies, Code of Conduct and all department policies and procedures including protecting confidential company; employee and customer information attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities. Performs other duties and projects as may be assigned or deemed necessary at the time of or after initial employment.
    Qualifications: Qualifications (Required): Education: o High school diploma or GED. Experience: o Previous experience in billing and/or collections o Two years as a licensed, certified Bioscrip or other Specialty Pharmacy Techincian Knowledge and Skills: o Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. o Knowledge of insurance/medical billing preferred but not required. o One year collections experience preferred but not required. o 10 key proficiency necessary. o Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures and best practices related to this position. o Proficient verbal and written communication skills. o High level of proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel. o Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels. o The ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality is required along with sensitivity to employee’s needs and data. o Careful attention to detail. o Proficient analytical skills. Other (Required licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel etc.): o Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime. o Must be able to travel for training, may be some overnight.
