Hours: 2nd Shift - 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM
4 weekdays, and 1 weekend day
Position Summary:
• This position handles incoming patient calls to schedule orders, checks the status of orders, answers general questions and handles patient concerns.
• Also, the Patient Care Consultant I may need to make outbound calls to inform patients of necessary information.
• This position requires the ability to perform clinical intervention and assessment of health status for pharmacy members.
Knowledge and Skill:
• Ability to perform clinical intervention and assessment of health status for pharmacy members.
• Detail oriented
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures and best practices related to this position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Great analytical skills.
• Proficient level of software proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels and customers.
• Demonstrates compassion for patients and takes ownership of task at hand using good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality along with sensitivity to employees and customers needs and data.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime.

| Qualifications: |
Education/ Experience:
• High School Diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of call center experience is required.
• Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications:
a) Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
b) Certified Pharmacy Tech (PTCB)
c) Bachelor's degree in a
Healthcare or Business field
• 1-3 years of any medical industry experience a plus.
• Exposure to writing and reading prescriptions a plus.
• Prior experience with focused disease management is preferred. Types of disease states include: HIV/ AIDS, Organ Transplant, MS, RA, Iron Overload, Crohn's, or other specific disease states is a plus
