Position Summary:
This position oversees and manages the BioScrip Retail Pharmacy self-pay and insurance billing and collection processes to ensure timely collection of accounts owed to the company. Takes charge and initiates actions, directs the activities of individuals and groups toward the accomplishment of meaningful goals. Continuously strives to improve processes and utilizes systems to their maximum capabilities to meet or exceed A/R goals for DSO, aging and bad debt. Manages a team of Supervisors and several Retail collection FTEs and Overpayment Resolution FTEs, provides clear work direction, assigns individual and group goals. Creates environment where rewards follow when goals are reached and provides training and staff development opportunities. Works closely with Regional Directors and Community Store personnel to improve A/R through excellent communication and assists in improvement of up-front data collection and billing processes. Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customer groups.

Qualifications:
Education:
o B.S. or B.A. or equivalent in education and experience is required.
Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of direct staff management experience.
o Minimum 5 years experience in health care insurance billing and/or insurance claims collections.
o Medicare/Medicaid experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
o Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
o Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures and best practices related to this position.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Group presentation skills.
o Strong level of software proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office to perform report writing and data analysis.
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels.
o The ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality is required along with sensitivity to employee’s needs and data.
o Careful attention to detail.
o Strong analytical skills.
